About Me

Hi!! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Kacey Basile. I'm a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful daughters Halle (4) and Penelope (10 months), and am married to the love of my life, Austin. We live in a suburb outside of Nashville, Tennessee called Murfreesboro (that's where "'Boro" comes from!). I started Hooked In The 'Boro when Halle was only 9 months old and I wanted to get her a hand-embroidered sweater with her name on it. At the time, I couldn't afford a $90 sweater, so I decided to research and make one on my own. One, turned into two, turned into me making them for my friends via a google doc submission, and then somehow I created an incredibly successful Etsy store that I ran for years. 

Through this time, Austin and I went through an incredibly difficult infertility journey to have our second daughter, Penny. This stalled my business completely and made me question if I'd ever get back to my passion. I had to focus on our family. But in March of 2026, 8 months after our miracle baby was born, I knew I was ready to come back; but I wanted to do something different. I went back to my roots and thought of/researched what I would want to buy for my kids and family as keepsakes, and created Hooked In The 'Boro as it is today!
